Wii U Launches in North America October 29

WiiU Coming And So Are The Machines

We’ve been approved by Nintendo! And just found out (for sure this time!) Human Resource Machine will launch Thursday October 29 on Wii U in North and South America. We’re aiming to get the European version ready for release in November – more info soon.

Human Resource Machine Launches TODAY! Time to work!

Human Resource Machine opens its doors today! Available for Windows and Mac on Steam, GOG, Humble Store, and right here on our site where you’ll get a Steam key as well as cross platform DRM free versions.

Wii U and tablet versions coming soon.

Extra big thanks to our beta testers, translation volunteers, friends and family, and all the little workers who didn’t make it!

INDIEPOCALYPSE!

By sheer coincidence, two of our indie friends are also launching their games today!

Ron Carmel, Kyle Gabler’s co-creator on World of Goo has launched Subterfuge – an online multiplayer game that plays out in real-time over the course of about a week. Available today on iOS and Android.

And our friends at Untame have launched their multiple award winning Mushroom 11, a goo-ey game Kyle helped fund via Indie Fund.

Human Resource Machine Will be Available in 10 Languages

Human Languages of Human Resource Machine

One day we’ll all communicate in a common digital language without ambiguity. But until then, we’ll make every effort to accommodate the inefficient languages our meat brains understand.

And one of our favorite parts of making indie games the last few years is the community translation project. Little Inferno, World of Goo, and now Human Resource Machine, have been fully translated by real live humans from around the world – very patient people who’ve gracefully handled terrible puns, obtuse idioms, and all.

So we’re proud to announce that Human Resource Machine will be available in 10 languages – English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Dutch, Polish, Swedish, Russian, and Brazilian Portuguese – much thanks to our fellow translators listed below, as they appear in the credits.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Our executive team would also like to thank Dominik Wojnar, who helped translate HRM into Polish. Somehow, our vast QA team missed the omission of his name in the Credits. They will be downsized.

Windows and Mac versions out next week, Wii U Delayed a Week or So

Windows and Mac versions of HRM are coming out next week on Oct 15 on Steam, GOG, Humble Store, and right here on this site! But looks like our North American Wii U version will be delayed a week or so – we’ll post an updated date here as soon as we get it. It’s totally our fault for submitting a little late, we just tried to fill the Nintendo version with too many mushrooms!

Proper Planning

Little Inferno Sale Everywhere and Now Available on GOG

Leading up to the launch of Human Resource Machine next week, we’re putting our previous game Little Inferno on sale for a few days. And, better late than never, Little Inferno just released on GOG today!

And just for fun, some of our favorite Little Inferno Let’s Play’s and other thoughtful commentary from the last few years:
