We’ve decided to release our in-house editor via Steam Workshop!
We built the editor just for us, and did not originally plan to share it. It’s unpolished, unsupported, and gloriously unbeautiful – but it built all the levels in World of Goo 2 – and now it’s publicly available for brave players to build and share their own levels.

How do you get the level editor? Just update your game and look for a new button on the main screen. It’s available right now on all Win/Mac/Linux platforms.

Here’s a video a player put together showcasing some of the levels our test community has built:
The editor will also be available on other PC platforms, including: Epic Games, Good Old Games, Humble Store, and our own website.

This is AMAZING! Hopefully the WoG2 modding scene will end up as big as wog1’s eventually, I’ve already seen some amazing mods and some friends of mine have some really cool stuff planned for the future. Love the new art too!
Hell yeah! Can’t wait to have my gooey plushie! Also… Mom, I’m famous! I never thought I’d see one of my levels featured in a tomorrow corporation post! Good luck with everything guys!!
Haha, outstanding! Which one did you make?
I made “Last Sunset”! I’m pretty proud of how it came out even though it isn’t peak level design imo.
okay i am genuinely surprised
The replay value for this game was already high like the first game, but the addition of this editor just made it go up by a zillion. Thank you so much for adding this!
More 2DBoy + Tomorrow Corporation news later this year, huh? Intriguing…
I got the game directly from the website. How can I access the update?
Hello, you can just download it again with your same link.
I had forgotten about that completely. Thank you!
I’m so happy we got a level editor for this game! I speculated that based on the ending (no spoilers) that we would get some kind of user-generated content distributron of some sort. I’m super excited to see what adventures myself and others can come up with for our little rotund, viscous friends to navigate.
Many thanks to those, human and electronic at Tomorrow Corporation who made this possible.
