ATTENTION Steam fans! We’ve been quietly readying World of Goo 2 for new platforms in a continued effort to help World of Goo fans answer the important questions: What happens if you poke Goo with a stick? How has the world changed after all this time? What new gameplay possibilities will we discover? What wonderful new creatures, and characters, and ancient monuments will we meet?
World of Goo 2 is coming to Steam in Spring 2025… so this year… and SOON!
There’s even a Steam Page where you can WISHLIST a copy to get your own piping hot version as soon as it’s available.
The Steam version will include fabulous new achievements, as well as some other updates (many of which are coming to ALL versions) we can share soon. Keep checking back here or on one of our various social things.
We’re grateful to Epic for funding development of the game – World of Goo 2 would not exist without this arrangement – and our exclusivity period has now ended, which means the game can now come to more platforms.

For those of us who bought world of goo 2 on WorldOfGoo2.com, will we get steam keys to play the game on steam, or will we have to buy it again if we want to have it on steam?
If you bought the game from our website, you’ll get a steam key as well! Those should magically show up when the Steam version is out.
Why should we give you money when you screwed over your loyal customers by selling out to Epic for years?
The game wouldn’t have existed without funding from Epic. Kind of up to you where you want to buy it though – if you want a DRM-free version and you want to play it now you can also get it from our own site. You can also get it on Switch! There are quite a few stores out there that aren’t Steam or Epic. 🙂
