World of Goo 2 is Out Everywhere!

It’s April 25th, 2025!!… So that means that…World of Goo 2 – the followup to the indie-hit classic World of Goo, which was released almost 17 years ago…is available…EVERYWHERE!

You can now get World of Goo 2 on:

What if I already own the Amazing World of Goo 2?

Don’t worry! We have a few surprises for you. Fans of the Nintendo Switch, Epic Game Store, or DRM-free version will also get the same enhancements as all the other builds, including:

  • Three new extremely difficult challenge levels!
  • Over 30 Extra Fabulous Achievements!
  • A Brand New Options Menu! Never before included in a 2DBOY or Tomorrow Corporation game!
  • Some bug fixes and general improvements!

These changes will be released gradually, but should be rolling out today.

Will I get Steam?!

Yes! If you purchased a copy of World of Goo 2 from us, check your download link! There should be a Steam Key lovingly attached especially for you.

What about Launch Discounts?!

We’re currently in the middle of running a fabulous Tomorrow Corporation/2DBOY Publisher Sale on all PC channels, including Steam, GOG, Humble Store, and our own site, but the fun doesn’t stop there!

Starting today through May 9th we’re offering a launch discount of 15% off on all PC stores… and for Steam users… if you already own World of Goo 1, you’ll get an additional 15% off as an extra Thank You from the World of Goo 2 team!

Thanks to everyone for your help and support. We hope you love this game as much as we loved building it!

    is the epic update delayed?

At last! I bought World of Goo 1 and 2 on Steam! I’m still open to buying a Nintendo Switch copy, and I’m just waiting to see if there will be any news about compatibility for the Switch 2 mouse controls. I’d love to see another limited edition Super Rare switch cartridge, I’d definitely buy that for World of Goo 2! Will the Co-Op mode featured on the Switch be brought to Steam remote-play?

    • KyleGray says:

We released a physical version of WOG2, which you can find online and in local Game Stops (though you may need to call). At the moment Co-op is just limited to the Switch, since it has multiple pointer-based controllers!

is there any way to import the DRM-free version’s save files into the Steam version?

    • KyleGray says:

Where does the steam version keep its save data? I reinstalled the humble version and my save is still on my computer, but if I try to launch through steam, it doesn’t detect anything

      C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata[YOUR 8 DIGIT STEAM USER ID NUMBER]\3385670\remote

You can rename the Humble save to savegame.dat and move it to that folder.

    Hello!

I’ve bought both games from your website. Will there be a steam key for both games or just WoG 2?

  5. DivideSpanner says:

Is the Steam Version DRM free?

  6. azz says:

Not sure if intended, but it seems that the game refuses to launch via steam when offline. Gives an error saying that I need to be logged in?

Also, any way to port saves between platforms? Looked in the game folders but nothing resembling a save file there from what I saw.

We’re are the 3 new levels and options menu on switch, I can’t find them?

    • KyleGray says:

The options menu might not exist on the Switch version (I’ll have to check with the rest of the team, there are so many versions out there now). The new levels can be found in each of the first three islands. Hope that helps!

will there be icloud support for the ios version?

  9. sundog says:

Any chance of a Xbox version in the future? Would love to see the original too. Only version that ever got Xbox achievement treatment was stuck on Games for Windows Live. Hopefully Xbox or a Windows store version with achievements gets released. Thank You.

Is it normal that I still haven’t received the update on Epic?

  12. Avimo says:

Have you ever thought about making a sequel to the “WoG wasn’t built in a day” blog posts for wog2? I think that would be really cool to see as there’s a part of the community that dedicates themselves to researching cut content for fun and we’ve discovered a ton of interesting things in the files about both the trailer 1 levels and some other cut levels we’ve never heard of, and we’d be very interested to know more about what they all were like and why they were cut, as well as how much wog2 changed in general since its conception in 2020. This’d also be helpful to modders as they might be able to use cut assets for their own levels.

Hello there, has the update for the Epic Games version been released? It seems my game hasn’t updated yet.

  14. Andrean says:

Hello, please tell me on which platform do you distribute keys for content creators?
    Best wishes,

Hi! I bought WOG 2 on Humble, and didn’t make a Humble account for my purchase. I’ve also deleted the emaIl with the download link, so I don’t have any way to access it for my steam key. Is there any other way for me to receive the update and steam key? And also, does that version of the game update automatically? sorry to submit yet another question, but thanks for reading!
