The IGF Finalists were posted last week – and I suppose we’ve been kindof speechless about it until now – Little Inferno was recognized in 5 of the 7 categories, with three nominations including the Grand Prize, and two honorable mentions. After expecting a big fat zero for an admittedly strange and controversial game, we’re kindof astonished. So thanks judges, and congrats to all the other nominees – looks like we’ll see you at GDC in March!
I know! I was super psyched when I saw all those nominations on the IGF blog. Good job, guys! Here’s hoping you’ll do well in the GDC award ceremonies! I know I’ll be voting Little Inferno for the Audience Award. 🙂
Congrats guys! I kind of forgot that these awards even existed Either way good luck!
Fantastic! Well done, guys. However, I’m kind of surprised that Little Inferno doesn’t even have an honorable mention inthe Narrative category. Maybe that’s because it’s a linear narrative. But I think that the system of letters, the sequence of events, the themes evoked, the unexpected final sequence and the quality of the text itself make, all together, the best narrative I’ve played all year. I guess I’ll have to try each of the nominees!
Looking forward to see which awards you bag!
Congratulations! I hope you can win these prizes. 😀
Congratulations!
These are well deserved; the game is absolutely amazing!
Great job, you totally deserve that!
You deserve all the credits for creating World of Goo, but this isn’t even a game. I’m not sure how it’s fun randomly putting things in the fire to make random achievements.
Congratulations, Little Inferno and You 3 mates are worth it trust me ! 😉
During the GDC, can the players vote too ?
Yeah, I think there is a special Audience Award category. Not sure if we’re participating in that though.
most amazing creative burn GAME EVER……sans the wicked witch of the west!
