New Game and Other Shocking Updates

We finally managed to sneak out of our work cave to put together some updates.

1. Article in Games TM Magazine

Chris McMahon at indie-friendly Games TM magazine created a beautiful 6-page article in issue 98, scanned in here (pdf). Included in the article was this rare, very old, photo:

Above: Tomorrow Corporation’s founders, circa 1910, founded the
company to make downloadable games. “The world wasn’t ready”.

2. New Indie Game Has a Name

Fire and smoke and screaming have been billowing out of our R&D department for months. The new game is something called “Little Inferno“. More info soon.

3. New kittens!

“Making indie games is hard,” says DeeDee the kitten.

  2. DEFE says:

I’m all kinds of excited. I know you guys will make a great product.

  3. Ran says:

I always look forward to what tomorrow brings!

  4. Odnetnin says:

That article hurt my eyes, but was hilarious and informative all the same. Please bring Li’l Inferno to a Nintendo console, or a least Steam. Also, please make it awesome. Thanks.

P.S. Kyle Gabler, did you contribute art to Cave Story?

  5. Pierrec says:

I was frustrated having no news. Now i’m frustrated having one.

  6. You’re such a lovely bunch! And now with kitties! My cats say hi!

  7. KyleGabler says:

Just a tiny bit. I helped the Cave Story guys put together the Wii icon and banner for the Wii home screen. How in the world did you know that?

  8. Pepe says:

    Hi Kyle!

It’s Pepe from Nintendo Spain. So good hearing about your new project, I hope to see it coming to WiiWare 😉

How is going with your kitties? They are so nice!!

My best wishes for your new project, we want to see it asap!!!

    Best regards,
    Pepe

  9. Juan says:

Kittens sure know their way around indie games.

  10. Odnetnin says:

You’re actually in the credits under “additional art” I think. So now you’ve had a hand in my two favorite WiiWare games, in a way. Also, I look at this picture of my old lady cat all day: http://a.imageshack.us/img805/1615/daisyd.jpg

  11. James says:

YEA! NEW GAME! YEA! KITTENZ! YEA…uh…AWESOMENESS! 😛

  12. Pavke says:

How about a forum for “Little Inferno” ?

  13. javerikr says:

Why shall we not see more World of Goo?
What’s happening with an iPhone release?
Why are there not much news lately? 🙁
So I guess news will come… tomorrow!

  14. javerikr says:

    P. S. I agree with Pierrec

  15. fromsouthamerica says:

    Good luck, Tomorrow Corp.!!!
im sure ur game will b the best of the best!
hope its going 2 be on wiiware, or i die =(

  16. Paul says:

    2 things:
    1. Sounds cool, Little Inferno yields good possibilities.
    2. Somehow the YouTube account name of WorldofGooCorp wasn’t used… weird huh? Well, it is now 😀

  17. a says:

    please release it on wiiware!!!!

  18. Jozef says:

Great news 🙂 I’m soooo hungry for anything that you guys will put together – if it turns out to be an awesome game, only better 🙂 Have fun developing it!

  19. mark says:

is there any chance of lil’ inferno coming to the playstation network?

  20. David says:

Amazing post…..worth reading it and sharing on facebook…

  21. mark says:

cant wait, but i guess i have to, good game developers (like yourselves) believe in quality over availability

  22. tim says:

    any updates?

  23. Seb James says:

I’m hoping the new game will have a Linux build! I bought World of Goo because it was consumable by the penguin and I was really pleased it turned out to be such a good game (my son is playing it right now).

  24. Moose says:

Judging by the lack of updates, both on Twitter, and this site, it would seem Little Inferno might never see the light of day.

    Pretty damn unfortunate.

  25. Dear Tomorrow Corporation,

    I miss you.

    Love,
    Me

  26. KyleGray says:

No, we’re still moving forward, and hope to have some updates for you all before the summer.

    Making games is hard!

  27. Fraser says:

Really? It’s been 8 months 7 days 23 hours 3 minutes 57 seconds and you haven’t been able to think of one thing to say to the community? You guys are worse than Data Realms at updating, though at least they appreciate their fans (Alphas, art updates, random blog posts, technical posts, twitter feeds.) I might torrent this game on release just due to the rudeness of not updating for this long, its unkind that I take time out of everyday to check your blog and you haven’t the decency to post on it for more than half a year on a game you claim to still be making (I doubt that by the way.)

    • ??? says:

Hey, you try making indie games! I don’t have any decent ones for release but like, it’s hard to do! Especially with Goo-Pad and GooPhone out, it’s like, a lot of work for Kyle. I’m sure when Little Inferno does come out, it’ll be worth it. Also, no one make a torrent for this!

  28. Odnetnin says:

Why do you check their blog every day?

How much time does it take to realize they haven’t updated yet?

  29. Marin says:

    > Why do you check their blog every day?

    RSS feeds are useful.

  30. MOM4Evr says:

You do realize that it’s now 12 days until it’s summer. 😉

Anyhow, guys, we have your back the whole way, we’re just are so excited about a little inferno guy that we’re impatient. We know indie games take time.
    Cheers!

    -MOM

  31. tim says:

im guessing its safe to say that this game is vaporware now?

  32. AAAAAAAA says:

cm’on! couldn’t you a least do a little post per MONTH!? It doesent even take 10 minutes to make one! It’s already June 22, almost a year hast passed 🙁 just an update per week, PLEASE! GIVE US A SIGN OF LIFE!

  33. KyleGray says:

    @tim

Man, I hope it’s not vaporware – Little Inferno is pretty much all I do these days. 🙂

Thanks for everyone’s patience and support. We’re working furiously away on LI and hope to have more to share in the next few months…

  34. Tim says:

    @ Kyle

Well thats excellent to hear that you guys are still working on it at least. thanks for the reply.

Could you tell us anything about the game aside from its title yet or is its genre still being toyed around with?

    Is ita puzzle? adventure? action?

any details would be fantasic. Thanks

  35. tim says:

    KYLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111111

    • KyleGray says:

      @Tim
Can’t give you too much details just yet, but we are moving as fast as we can. We will hopefully have something to share soon – but only when we have something worth sharing! That’s the problem with making something new, you never quite know what it is until you’ve made it.

  36. DEFE says:

I believe in you guys. Best of luck to all of you! I’m sure you’ll come up with a great game.

  37. tim says:

oh i don’t doubt the greatness of the game, these guys are really good.

im just an impatient guy is all. (see my above posts)

    keep up the good work.

  38. tim says:

Any news on this game for Christmas?

  39. Odnetnin says:

    @tim Nope. 🙁 Please, I want news!

  40. Tomorrow Corporation PR says:

    Hi Kyles and Allan!! ! ^^ 🙂
    I think you are awesome!!

Hey, can you at least, tell your fans what´s the game about?
    I´m waiting since 2010 for Little Inferno´s news 🙁
    Please, tell us 🙂
