Little Inferno iPhone releasing TONIGHT

Little Inferno iPhone

BREAKING REPORT! Tomorrow Corporation has just learned that Little Inferno for iPhone will be available beginning TONIGHT, Thursday, March 28 for Easter Weekend – and will be on sale for $0.99 (and equivalents) all weekend to celebrate.  It will joyfully melt screens of iPhone 4s and up and iPod Touch 5 and up. Up up up. (Note that due to heavy graphics requirements and a fire burning at 100 billion degrees, this version will not work on the older iPhone 4 or lower.)

Once the iPhone version is released, the iPad version will automatically convert to a Universal version called “Little Inferno HD”, so you can use your existing iPad version on your iPhone or iPod Touch as well, with no additional purchase needed. Both the iPhone and Universal versions will also introduce iCloud support so you can easily play across multiple devices.

As with the Wii U, PC, and iPad versions, the iPhone version will also ship in English, Spanish, French, Dutch, German, and Brazilian Portuguese. Italian will also be coming soon for all platforms. Thanks again to our volunteer translators! And as always, just like the other versions of the game, Little Inferno on iPhone is still 100% free of in-app purchases, ads, spam, etc. You’ll get Just The Game and nothing else!

NOOOOOO I ONLY HAVE AN IPOD 4TH GEN. Can I burn my 4th gen in my Entertainment Fireplace and get enough money back for a 5th gen?

I just updated and followed your instructions to first start the game on my iPad before starting it on my iPhone. The result is that my save just disappeared and I now have 3 blank “New Game” slots in the main menu.

It would have been nice to NOT have to use iCloud as it is broken…

    TL;DR:
Great game, don’t use it with iCloud…

    • Kyle Gabler says:

Hey Flemming, thanks for the bug report, and sorry you lost the save file, that’s certainly not the intended behavior. Unfortunately, the save file probably isn’t recoverable, but we’ll try and get an update out asap so this doesn’t happen to anyone else. If you don’t mind, which devices are you using? And do you recall the exact steps you followed that led to this? Thanks for your help!

  7. Flemming Pedersen says:

I have an iPad mini and an iPhone 4S. Had the app open on the iPad ~5 minutes before launching it on the iPhone.

    Hey Mr. Kyle!

Just considering, do you guys pretend to do an Android version of the game? Maybe for the “advanced devices”?

  12. x414e54 says:

Looking forward to the Linux version!

I have to say this is one of the best little games I’ve ever played. From the soundtrack to the little notes from Sugar Plum. Thankyou for the hours of entertainment so far and for all those still to come.

    Dear Tomorrow Corporation,

It is cold outside and getting colder. Thank you for giving me something warm to do. I had a hard time looking away.

Seriously, thank you for this game. I think it works beautifully on the ipad. It seems like the right size, the HD looks beautiful, and of course as an app store ipad gamer who sometimes falls for the freemium model I found this very thought provoking.

I had fun burning things, I loved the notes from Sugar Plumps, I had fun trying to figure out the combos, and I had fun trying to barrel through to the end wondering what was going to happen. The game says I spent over four hours with it and I feel like maybe I provoked the ending too soon (but I was so curious!) I might play it again to find all of the combos.

I’m now recommending it to my unsuspecting friends :)
