Little Inferno iPad Releasing This Week

Little Inferno iPad Release Date Friends

BREAKING WEATHER REPORT! Tomorrow Corporation has just learned that Little Inferno for iPad will be available beginning this Thursday, January 31. It will joyfully melt screens of all iPad versions from iPad2 and up. Up up up.

We’ve also been informed that Fire Safety Spokesperson and cartoon dog named Sparky is calling for Little Inferno to be removed from the eShop. Video games these days can be dangerous! But weirdly, when I think of Little Inferno and the ideas it tries to ignite, setting things on fire is never the first thing to pop into my head. (Warning spoilers!) Also kitties.

UPDATE 1: As with the Wii U and PC versions, the iPad version will also ship in English, Spanish, French, Dutch, and German. Updates for Brazilian Portuguese and Italian will be coming soon for all platforms. Thanks again to our volunteer translators!

UPDATE 2: There will be GameCenter achievements available for those that choose to connect to GameCenter.

UPDATE 3: Just like the other versions of the game, Little Inferno on iPad is still 100% free of in app purchases, ads, spam, etc. You’ll get Just The Game and nothing else!

  1. Luke says:

Nooooo! They better not remove it from the eShop!

  2. Beastboy says:

I can see the line drawn between Little Inferno and kids thinking it’s fun to play with fire. But I also think kids that don’t understand that fire is dangerous are either too young and shouldn’t have access to fire in the first place, or they should be teached about it by their parents.

  3. Jake says:

    What about iPad 1 D:

  4. momo1526 says:

Wow, awesome! I’m gonna need money for this :/ But it’s worth is, Little Inferno is sandboxy in a pick-up-and-play way, perfect for iPad.

  5. puggsoy says:

I honestly think Sparky is overreacting. He’s got a point but the game is T-rated anyway and anybody who doesn’t know how dangerous fire is either shouldn’t be playing the game or, as Beastboy said, shouldn’t have access to fires.
Besides, anybody who thinks games are the same as real life shouldn’t be playing games in the first place.

  6. David Amador says:

    This is awesome news 🙂
Still not sure if I’m gonna buy it again for the 3rd time though. Depends on the price.

  7. Jon T says:

I think mobile platforms will be a great fit for Little Inferno. Can I put in an official request for an Android version?

  8. Peter says:

Does this mean the Mac OS version is coming soon? 😀

  9. Jose says:

Please Make a iphone version o this and not just only ipad

  10. DT says:

i know the first ipad is outdated, but whats the technical reasoning for not puting it on it¿

    • Brian Lutz says:

Usually the problem that prevents games/apps from running on the version 1 iPad is lack of RAM. Even a lot of newer games that do run on the older iPad will crash a lot due to low memory conditions unless you turn off and restart the iPad before you start them.

  11. Dio says:

    I like the Little Inferno!

  12. Josh Waterbottom says:

    [exited scream]

  15. wispofisis says:

I would love to have for the Ipod 5th gen, the 3DS and/or the Wii I don’t have the option to have a Iphone or Wii U so it would be awesome for it to be on the Ipod, 3DS, or Wii

  16. Jake says:

I want an iphone version! I want it now!!!

  17. Léo says:

    When in French ? 🙁

    • kringel says:

@Léo: It’s already in French since its release. (At least since Version 1.1, released Nov 21th 2012)

The default setting is “system” though. Sometimes this doesn’t choose the language you wish to have. You can edit the settings.txt manually and change “language = system” to “language = fr”.

See: “Set your language. “system” uses your OS or Steam default setting. Other valid values include fr, de, nl, es, [and en].”

“Where are the save and config files?
On your Windows computer, open a Windows Explorer window, and paste this into the address bar:
      %APPDATA%\Little Inferno\ ”

      More here: http://tomorrowcorporation.com/faq

And if you’re using Wine on a Mac or on Linux etc. than your folder is $HOME/.wine/drive_c/users/$USER/Application\ Data/Little\ Inferno/ …there’s also the settings.txt

PS: Just tested it, it works http://i.imgur.com/Zl43Aq0.png

  22. kringel says:

MTV.com calls Little Inferno “everyone’s favorite way to burn things”. http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2013/01/30/little-inferno-coming-to-ipad-this-week-fire-safety-dog-calls-for-removal-from-wii-u-eshop/

“I love it even more on iPad. The reason it’s better [for] iPad is simple: you can actually touch the objects you’re burning. It instantly feel so much more satisfying than clicking on things with a mouse ever was. Little Inferno was made for iPad.” (Review by Odnetnin42) https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/little-inferno/id590250573?mt=8

Ok, ok, I will have to buy a touchscreen now…

  27. LNRU says:

    • JethroTull says:

  28. Tiffany says:

Any news on releasing little inferno to the android market. I’d hate to buy it on my computer, then it comes out for my tablet. Congrats on making it to the apple market.

  29. Lol date says:

Plz make iPhone little inferno I’m jealous of ma pal cus he has it on his iPad come on I would even buy a iPad just to play this game I haven’t played it before but I know every thing about it thanks for your time

  30. Rtfoleystl says:

Help! I played the game to the end on my iPad2. Loved it. But now I want to share it with my daughter and it won’t load past the title screen. I don’t mean the “warning” screen. I mean that I can’t get past tapping on the match on the title page. The match blows out and then nothing. Already re-installed, with no change. Is there a fix for this?

  31. Cameron says:

could you possibly release it for the Nintendo 3DS Nintendo E-Shop?
